Robust All-Stars 11, Aeros in the Outfield 2

The Robust All-Stars had their gloves on display as they held the Aeros to 2 runs in an 11-2 victory. The RAS turned two unusual double plays: one runner was doubled up on a fly out and another was nailed at home plate trying to score on a sac fly. Arman Haidari, Nate Aumock, and Ben Hackel hit a home runs to lead the offense.

Sal Baxamusa played only three days after getting married, Hackel played on his birthday, but Jason Walther outdid everybody by playing on the day that his second son was born. Walther had one at-bat before retiring early to be the designated babysitter.

The Aeros rover flashed some leather, making several nice catches and almost single-handedly holding the RAS hitless for three innings.

In the comments, please post your availability for next week's game and subsequent picnic. Include whether you will be bringing any guests - wives, girlfriends, children, visiting family members, homies, etc.

Game starts at 5:30 pm (please arrive around 5 pm to warm up) and the picnic will follow immediately. The location of both the game and the picnic are TBA.

We play the other ChE team, so we really need to bring it next week. Loser has to grill.

Will be closer to next week's game (i.e., in the same time zone), but still unavailable due to Ohio.

I'll be at both. Not that it's my place to grant permission, but since I'm getting the food, Arman is welcome to bring his sister.

Krogman grants Sal permission to bring his wife, and VD only needs to bring comething if he wants to get sloppy drunk. The department is only going to pay for food, not beer.

I'll be at both. Anna will come eat, but probably won't play any softball.

Jason -

Sorry, Anna is welcome to come, but I'm pretty sure (and Krogman can confirm) that anybody eating food must play at least one inning the in the field.

Don't worry about your kids, though -- aumock can watch them both if you and anna are in the outfield.
